Constipation and nausea were a given with every iron tablet I tried. This is the first one that hasn't done that. Six weeks in and still going.

Organic Iron Blend Capsules
You know the week. The one where the afternoon just goes.
Iron from actual food: certified organic Australian spleen and liver, freeze-dried. 12 mg a serve, with the B12 and folate that come with it.
What to expect, and when.
Iron stores rebuild over weeks and months, not days — anyone suggesting otherwise is selling the wrong expectations. Here's the honest pattern for steady dietary iron intake, so you know exactly what you're signing up for.
Settling in
You're building the habit: the serve that suits you, taken with meals. Most people notice nothing yet — that's normal, not a verdict.
The quiet middle
Steady daily intake doing quiet work. This is where consistency matters most, a daily rhythm wins.
Take stock
Enough time for consistent intake to have meant something. If iron is a health question for you, this is a sensible window to review it with your practitioner — bloods beat guesswork.
The numbers, plainly.
Three ways to serve it.
The full serve
12 mg iron — 100% of the day's RDI. Most people land here.
The everyday serve
8 mg iron — still two-thirds of the day's RDI.
The top-up
When you just need a little. Capsules can be opened into food — for children, use your own judgement.
Take with meals, whenever suits your routine. If you're pregnant, breastfeeding or managing a health condition — including anything iron-related — talk with your health practitioner about the serve that's right for you.
FAQs
Why spleen as well as liver?
Spleen is exceptionally iron-dense — gram for gram, USDA reference data puts it well above liver. Liver brings the B12, folate and vitamin A. Together they're why a 3 g serve reaches 100% RDI iron without anything synthetic added.
How is this different from a regular iron supplement?
It's food, not a formulation. There's no isolated iron salt here — just spleen and liver, freeze-dried, with the iron still in the form the food carries it in. We make no therapeutic claims — this is a nutrient-dense food, and the panel tells you exactly what a serve contains.
How many capsules should I take?
Three serves. 6 capsules is the full serve — 12 mg iron, 100% of the day's RDI, and where most people land. 4 capsules gives 8 mg. 2 capsules is a top-up. Capsules can be opened into food. One pack is 180 capsules — a month at the full serve, longer at the smaller ones.
Is it safe during pregnancy or for kids?
It's a food, and liver has been on family tables for a long time — but pregnancy changes vitamin A and iron considerations, so please talk with your midwife, GP or practitioner first. For children, the 2-capsule serve opened into food may be appropriate at parental discretion.
What does it taste like?
In capsules: next to nothing. Opened into food: mildly meaty, a faint broth note — it disappears into bolognese, mince and stews.
